Jewelry Care

Your jewelry needs a little pampering to keep in good condition.

1

Storage

Store your jewelry away from humidity in a jewelry box or other closed compartment.

2

Silver & Gold Cleaning

Silver oxidizes after some time, that's normal. Just polish it with a polishing cloth. Gold won't oxidize but you can boost the shine with a cloth. And when your jewelry gets scratched or you want to make it look new again, I'm happy to polish it with my polishing machine.

3

Stone Settings

Rings with stones need to be looked at with a microscope every couple of years to make sure the prongs still hold the stone steady, otherwise you risk losing the stone. Swing by and I'll have a close look and if needed I'll adjust the prongs.

4

Cleaning Stones

Jewelry with stones gets dirty. Use a soft brush, like an old tooth brush, and some detergent and your stones will sparkle and shine again. And if you want to get a thorough clean, give it to me and I'll clean it in my ultra sound machine.

5

Gold Plating

To gold plate silver jewelry means to add a thin layer of gold with an electrolyte machine. This thin layer will wear off after some time, and then I can just plate it again for you. But if you take off the gold plated jewelry when you wash your hands, or take a shower, and avoid skin products we can postpone the process.

6

Deformation & Repairs

Keep in mind that precious metal can deform if wearing it while weight lifting and other activities involving pressure on your ring. But even this I can fix, should it happen. Love and take care of your jewelry but if you have other things to think about, that's fine too. I'm here when you and your jewelry need me.
